Control anger and stress before they rule your life
Understanding stress and stressors can help you move forward and deal with your anger. If you feel like your body is filled with tension then stress is the cause of the problem. Stress is often a result of interrupted triggers from your emotional response. Stress is either negative or positive; therefore, we must learn to deal with stress in order to succeed in life.
Imagine that you are driving along a road and in a second, a car suddenly pulled up and drive in front of you. Glad that youve managed to avoid the accident, you take some deep breathe and calm yourself down before proceeding to your destination. That is what we call positive stress management. The impact of negative stress can usually last longer. Sometimes it takes about a few days, weeks or even months. The pressure makes it harder for you to take control and manage your problems.
However, a negative person might view the situation differently. A negative person would most probably honk his horns as loud as he can and spit out his venom and contempt for the reckless driver. This particular experience can well affect the person frame of mind for the rest of the day. As a result, he wont be able to perform his task well. You should be positive and look at the brighter perspective of the situation. At least there was no real accident and no one got hurt. Indeed, being positive could really make a difference in your life in managing your anger and temper.
If you wonder through life believing that you are invincible then you are setting your self up for a fall. Life is filled with chaos. Your chances of risk are at least 10% and your chances of not failing into the hands of faith are 90% giving you a higher odd to deal with. Therefore, if you can remember that your odds are in your favor then you will let go of those negative thoughts called stressors and continue living your life.
If you feel that, you are out numbered then you need to loosen up get in society and find how many people in life have more problems than you. Take into consideration your own problems, yet review the worlds problems and calculate your situation. For example, if you are behind on bills, the mortgage is due and your check is late then you have a problem. This can be dealt with since your check will be in shortly and you can pay what is owed.
Now let us take a look at someone else that has problems. Review the homeless people on the street without jobs and suffering poor health. Do you see a way out for these people? Is anyone going to hire them? Most likely not since they do not have money to get clothes that are suitable for a job. However, there is an out if you think about it. This problem is deeper than what you are facing and still there is a way out. Another example can be seen when two men walk into a womans house and attempts to rob her. The men put a bag over the womens head and beat her. The woman is blind. There appears no way out of the situation, but a group of motorcyclist hears the woman has screamed and give chance to the men. The woman survives, but extensive trauma prevents her to cope with the stress of the situation. There is usually a way out for all of our problems. When push comes to shove, human mind will unconsciously think of ways to get out of a difficult situation. For instance, the unfortunate homeless can try and find a job if someone would be kind enough to at least give them proper clothing and food. One other example is, if the house of a blind woman was being robbed by a burglar and she was tied up, she can stand a chance of survival if she screams for life and a group of motorcycle happens to heard her. Although she would be living with trauma after the experience, at least she survives and can learn to slowly cope with the stressful experience.
In a nutshell, you should really look into other people live before you decide whether your suffering is totally unbearable. With poverty, war and famine, we should be thankful of our lives no matter how bad it seems. Every situation has its solution. The only thing we need to do is find the solution. Adapt stress management in your life so you can deal with your anger better.
